Tell us about yourself! What’s your background and what do you do?

Hey there! My name is Jenna - I am the owner & CEO of Vital You. Myself & a small team handcraft bath bombs & body products, mainly infused with locally grown, hemp-derived CBD. My company is based out of Boulder (our studio is located right behind Boulder Beer) and it has been in business for two years. I came up with the concept of VY after attending the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism & Bauman College for holistic nutrition. The bath bombs were a way of fusing all of the herbal remedies I loved & utilized most into one, cohesive product.

How did you learn your craft? Tell us about your first finished product.

I've always been a crafty person, but a lot of trial and error went into developing the bath bombs! The first batch of bbs I made 6 years ago ended up exploding all over my kitchen. But after a lot of R&D & patience, I now have our recipe down to a science.

Where does the name of your business come from?

The name Vital You comes from a principle in holistic medicine known as 'vitalism' or the 'vitalistic principle,' stating that life is governed by forces beyond the physical self.

How long does it take to make your product and what’s involved in the process?

I can make about 30 bath bombs in an hour, and then they undergo a curing process for 48 hours, and then are hand packaged & shipped. Every single step in our process is down by hand, which takes an immense amount of time & attention to detail.

Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from our clients, my employees and myself. I tune in to what conditions/ailments are most potent to me and my clients and create products with those ailments in mind.
